Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester preform that causes less staining of a mold, and a method for manufacturing such a polyester preform.SOLUTION: The present invention is an ultraviolet-treated polyester preform having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.50-1.00 dl/g and containing 30-300 ppm of a compound having a specific structure in which terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol are condensed.
