Abstract:

To provide a polyester resin having excellent abrasion resistance and slipperiness at the same time, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor prepared by using the polyester resin in a photosensitive layer.

The polyester resin containing a recurring unit expressed by general formula (1) (wherein, X is a single bond, S, O, a sulfonyl, a cycloalkyl or -CR9R10-; W is a (substituted) divalent aromatic group or a (substituted) divalent hydrocarbon group; R1 to R10 are each independently H, an alkyl, an aryl, a halogen or an alkoxy; and at least one out of R1 to R10 is a 2-9C linear or branched alkyl) in the structural formula, and having a viscosity average molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000 is used as the binder resin for the photosensitive layer.
