Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a polygon data converter capable of effectively utilizing such hardware, etc., that does not plot a rear polygon and a three-dimensional simulator device.
CONSTITUTION: Lateral inversion processing of the vertex coordinates of the input polygon is executed in accordance with a lateral inversion flag and vertical inversion flag in a coordinate inverting section 410. Decision of the front and rear of the input polygon is executed by examining apposition order of vertex numbers in a front and rear deciding section 408. An apposition order replacing section 420 replaces the apposition order in accordance with the exclusive OR of the rear decision flag, the lateral inversion flag and the vertical inversion flag and a vertex number allotting section 422 allots the vertex numbers of the original input polygon to the divided polygons in accordance with the replaced apposition order. The vertex coordinates, inverted vertex coordinates, etc., of the polygon are read out of a data memory 412 according to these vertex numbers.
