Abstract:

To provide a polyisocyanate composition having a high isocyanate group concentration, from which a polyurethane resin excellent in mechanical properties and chemical resistance can be produced, and to provide a polyurethane resin using the polyisocyanate composition.

The polyisocyanate composition having an isocyanate group concentration of 17 to 22 mass% is prepared by the reaction of pentamethylene diisocyanate with a low molecular weight polyol having an average number of functional groups of 2 to 3.9. The polyisocyanate composition has a high isocyanate group concentration. Thereby, the polyurethane resin using the polyisocyanate composition can be widely used in various industrial fields.
