Abstract:

To provide a synthesis method of a polylactic acid/silica based hybrid material having a branch structure, while resolving various physical properties of the polylactic acid/silica based hybrid material having the branch structure.

The polylactic acid/silica based hybrid material contains the polylactic acid and the silica in the molecular structure; and has a branch structure in which the polylactic acid has a branch structure and the silica is combined with a terminal of this branch structure. The synthesis method includes: a first step for reacting a polyhydric alcohol with a lactic acid monomer or a lactide to synthesize the polylactic acid having the branch structure; and a second step for forming a precursor by silane-coupling treating the polylactic acid having the branch structure and reacting the precursor with an alkoxysilane to hybridize.
