Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer alloy composition excellent in transparency, rigidity, tensile strength, etc., and desirable for injection-molding articles such as toothbrushes by mixing methyl methacrylate with styrene and butadiene.

CONSTITUTION: 2-18 wt.%, desirably 9 wt.% methyl methacrylate, 70-80 wt.%, desirably 77 wt.% styrene and 10-22 wt.%, desirably 14 wt.% are melt-kneaded, and the obtained polymer alloy is molded in an injection molding die to form toothbrush handles.
