Abstract:
To provide polymer composites and a method for producing the polymer composites.
A set of microcapsules containing a phase change material is mixed with a dispersing polymer material to prepare a first blend. The dispersing polymer material has latent heat of 40 J/g at minimum and a transition temperature in a range of 0°C to 50°C. The first blend is processed to prepare a polymer composite. The polymer composite can be made into various forms such as a pellet, a fiber, a flake, a sheet, a film, a rod and the like. The polymer composite can be used as it is and can be incorporated into various articles in which heat adjustment characteristics are requested.
