To provide an optical low pass filter comprising a polymer substance obtained by polymerizing liquid crystalline monomers and having extremely high transparency.
The polymer optical low pass filter is composed of an optically anisotropic polymer molded body obtained by polymerizing the following polymerizable liquid crystal composition and has 10 to 200 μm thickness and ≤1.5 haze. The polymerizable liquid crystal composition contains a liquid crystalline monomer component as the main component comprising a monomer showing a liquid crystal phase selected from monofunctional acrylate compounds and monofunctional methacrylate compounds expressed by CH2=CXCOO-A-Y1-B-(Y2- Z)n-Y3 and contains a crosslinking monomer component comprising a polyfunctional monomer copolymerizable with the monomer of the above liquid crystalline monomer component. The composition shows a liquid crystal phase at or around room temperature. In the above formula, X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, each of A, B and Z independently represents formula (1) or formula (2), each of Y1 and Y2 independently represents a single bond or -C≡C-, Y3 represents a 1-20C alkyl group, and n represents 0 or 1.
