Abstract:
To provide a liquid metal optical switch (polymer optical switch) in which energy efficiency is improved by using a polymer.
The polymer optical switch is provided with a channel supporting plate 102, a switch substrate 120 having an inner face and an outer face, a polymer layer 104 arranged between the channel supporting plate 102 and the switch substrate 120, a switching channel 106 formed in the polymer layer 104, a liquid metal switch formed on the inner face of the switch substrate 120 and included in the switching channel 106, and a first optical path which passes through the switching channel 106.
