To provide a polymerizable composition and a prepreg useful for producing a laminate having a very small dielectric loss tangent in a high frequency region and excellent in flame retardancy, interlaminar bonding and heat resistance, and to provide the laminate.
The polymerizable composition contains a cycloolefin monomer, a polymerization catalyst, a crosslinking agent, a halogen-based flame retardant, and a metal hydroxide. The blending ratio of the metal hydroxide to the halogen-based flame retardant is in the range of 1/99-50/50 (metal hydroxide/halogen-based flame retardant) in weight ratio. The prepreg is obtained by impregnating a reinforcement fiber with the polymerizable composition followed by polymerization. The laminate is obtained by laminating the prepreg with the same prepreg and/or another material followed by curing.
