Abstract:
To provide a polymerizable compound having high liquid crystallinity and less likely causing crystallization when added to a polymerizable composition and stored for a long period of time, to provide a polymerizable composition containing the above compound, which has such properties that a coating film using the composition less likely causes a pinhole defect and that a polymer product in a film state obtained by polymerizing the composition less likely peels from a substrate and avoids cracks when the polymer product is bent, and to provide a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition containing the compound, and an optical anisotropic material using the polymer.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a compound represented by general formula (I), and also provides a polymerizable composition containing the compound, a polymerizable liquid crystal composition, a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable liquid crystal composition, and an optical anisotropic material using the polymer. The present invention provides a production method of a polymerizable compound containing a cyclohexane ring, in which a byproduct is less likely produced.SELECTED DRAWING: None
