Abstract:
To provide polymers that provide friction-reducing properties to lubricants such as lubricating oil compositions thereby improving efficiency and helping to reduce wear.SOLUTION: A polymer has the structure in the figure. (In the formula, L is a linking group, R is a hydrocarbon group or a substituted hydrocarbon group, and X is 2 or more, preferably from 2 to 100, further preferably from 2 to 50; and each {Q} may (a) be an identical polymer block composed of 3 or more monomer units, or (b) comprise a plurality of polymer blocks each consisting of 3 or more monomer units.)SELECTED DRAWING: None
