Title:
POLYOLEFIN-BASED DRAWN CONJUGATE FIBER AND NONWOVEN FABRIC OBTAINED FROM THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003328233
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a polyolefin-based drawn conjugate fiber comprising crimp ing processed short fibers having a sheath core structure, low fineness and high rigidity and capable of giving a compact and soft nonwoven fabric in good productivity and provide a nonwoven fabric from the same.

The polyolefin-based drawn conjugate fiber comprises short fibers obtained by melt spinning an undrawn conjugate fiber using a crystalline propylene-based polymer as a core material and an olefin-based polymer other than the crystalline propylene-based polymer as a sheath material, drawing the undrawn conjugate fiber, crimping and cutting the fiber. The drawn conjugate fiber has 0.4-1.7 dTex fineness, ≥5.5 cN/dTex strength at break and ≥28 cN/dTex Young's modulus. The nonwoven fabric is produced by using the drawn conjugate fiber.
