Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain relatively rigid composition low in specific gravity, capable of controlling its flexibility without the need of using any plasticizer, capable of subjecting itself to calendering, having transparency like that of polyvinyl chloride, and generating no toxic gas when burned.
CONSTITUTION: This polyolefin composition comprises 51-99wt.% of syndiotactic polypropylene and 49-1wt.% of at least one kind of ethylene-based copolymer selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymers, ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymers and ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymers.
