Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition with low odor, thus useful in the melt forming sector for food packaging articles by incorporating a polyolefin resin with a bicarbonate of a group 1A metal.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) a polyolefin resin like polyethylene with (B) 0.001-1 pt.wt. of a bicarbonate of a group 1A metal (e.g. sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate).
