To provide a motor that achieves a weight reduction while preventing the current density in each bus-bar from being excessive, and an electric power steering apparatus.
The motor 10 is configured as follows. A part in each relay electrical path 31A, 32A, and 33A of each bus-bar 31, 32, and 33 has a plurality of terminal-end electrical paths between each main electrical path 31B, 32B, and 33B and the end of each relay electrical path 31A, 32A, and 33A. The width of the part is narrowed by an amount of a unit width w of the terminal-end electrical path whenever going beyond the terminal-end electrical path as going from each main electrical path 31B, 32B, and 33B to the end of each relay electrical path 31A, 32A, and 33A. By this, it is possible to prevent the current density in each relay electrical path 31A, 32A, and 33A from being excessive so that the current density is maintained substantially constant, and to achieve a weight reduction of each bus-bar 31, 32, and 33, resulting in a weight reduction of the motor 10.
