To enhance the efficiency of a motor and reduce the surge voltage, in a wide range of drive frequency, in a case where two phases of winding is wound on each magnetic pole of a stator and the winding is wound on each magnetic pole so that the adjacent magnetic poles of the stator may have reverse polarity.
Two phases of winding 4 to be wound on each magnetic pole of the stator 1 is wound, being positioned so that the lead wires 4a of each phase constituting the winding 4 of those phases may adjoin each other. Hereby, the two phases of winding 4 wound on each magnetic pole becomes roughly the same in the number of turns, the length of winding, and the positional relation of the winding 4 to the stator core, and the electric and magnetic properties of the two phases of winding 4 wound on each magnetic pole are uniformed, and the impedance values of the two phases of winding 4 concerned become roughly the same. Hereby, the efficiency of the motor is enhanced, and the surge voltage working on a switching element is reduced.
