Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operating safety of a polyphase multiplex chopper device, by unitizing chopper main circuit sections in respective phases, constructing the connection of the chopper main circuit units as projected structure of plug-in type, and inserting/withdrawing them to/from the contact section of main circuit buses (power buses) of the chopper device. SOLUTION: A main circuit of a system using a polyphase multiplex chopper device comprises a direct-current power supply set 11, input fuses 12, chopper main circuits 13, output reactors 14, output fuses 15 and a motor set 16. The polyphase multiplex chopper device is constituted by connecting the plurality of the chopper main circuits 13 in parallel to unitize them, stacking the chopper units in multistage, and electrically connecting them in parallel. The connection 3 of each chopper unit is formed into a recessed structure of plug-in type, and the connection 4 of each main circuit which is branched from the main circuit bus and arranged in the horizontal direction is formed into a projected structure of plug-in type, so that the chopper units can be easily disconnected and connected.
