Abstract:

To provide a polypropylene thermocompression bonded nonwoven fabric having chemical resistance to aromatic organic solvents by using polypropylene fibers having a low fiber heat shrinkage percentage at hot rolling processing temperatures and excellent thermocompression bonding processability.

This polypropylene thermocompression bonded nonwoven fabric is obtained by carrying out thermocompression bonding processing of the polypropylene fibers comprising an isotatic polypropylene and having ≥8.8 cN/dtex tensile strength and ≥5,880 N/mm2 Young's modulus. In the polypropylene fibers, the interior of the fibers is visually checked as a dark part and a linear bright part extending in the fiber diametral direction so as to cross the dark part is intermittently visually checked when observed in a cross-Nicol state under polarized light.
