Abstract:
To provide a metal catalyst that can be used as a catalyst capable of efficiently and selectively promoting a chemical reaction while using polysaccharide such as an environmentally friendly cellulose as a catalyst carrier.SOLUTION: There is provided a metal supported polysaccharide catalyst in which metal nano-particles are supported by polysaccharide, in which the polysaccharide has a porous structure. The metal-supported polysaccharide catalyst is configured so that the polysaccharide is cellulose. The metal-supported polysaccharide catalyst is configured so that a porous structure is porous particles. The metal-supported polysaccharide catalyst is configured so that the porous structure has a monolith structure. The metal-supported polysaccharide catalyst is configured so that a metal nano-particle is palladium. The metal-supported polysaccharide catalyst is configured so that the catalyst is a catalyst for selective reducing reaction of at least one group selected from a carbobenzoxy group as a protective group of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a nitro group, an azido group, an aldehyde group, an arylalkylcarbonyl group, and an amino group, a benzyl group as a protective group of carboxylic acid, and a benzyl group as a protective group of aliphatic alcohol.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
