To obtain a polysilane-impregnated paper having suitability for burning, and recycling properties, and excellent in toughness at a low temperature and creep by impregnating a specific polysilane compound into a paper substrate.
This polysilane-impregnated paper is obtained by hydrolyzing a liquid of a polysilane compound of formula I (R1 to R6 are each H, OH or a 1-4C alkyl, an alkoxy, carboxyl, carbonyl, vinyl, phenyl, a halogen, epoxycyclohexane, glycidoxypropyl or amino) and formula II [R7 is phenyl, carbonyl, carboxyl, amino epoxy(cyclohexyl), glycidoxypropyl or a halogen; R8 to R10 are each a 1-4C alkyl, vinyl, carbonyl, amino or glycidoxypropyl], and further having ≥3 value of (n) and 500-600,000 average molecular weight with an acid having pH≤4 or an alkali having pH≥10, and performing an impregnating treatment of the hydrolyzed liquid into paper so that the impregnation depth may be ≥1/4 of the thickness of the paper.
