To provide a polytetrafluoroethylene resin composition which is prepared by compounding a polytetrafluoroethylene resin with graphite as a filler and, when baked, gives a sliding member, especially one used under a high pressure, having no directionality of pressure resistance while suppressing the increase in friction coefficient.

This composition comprises 40-94 wt.% polytetrafluoroethylene resin, 3-57 wt.% graphite, and 3-30 wt.% carbon fiber.
