Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polytrimethylene terephthalate filament yarn obtained by high speed spinning, having improved residual elongation, imparting high productivity and excellent in post-processing properties.
SOLUTION: The polytrimethylene terephthalate filament yarn, having ≥30% of residual elongation increase rate (I%), 0.02-0.07 of birefringence Δn, 60-250% of residual elongation and ≤0.18 cN/dtex of thermal stress peak, is obtained by dispersing 0.5-4.0 wt.% of particulate fiber elongation-improving agent having thermal deformation temperature (T) of 40-105°C and then melting and spinning the polyester and taking off the spun filaments at a take-off rate of 2, 000-8, 000 m/min and the filament yarn satisfies following (a)-(b). (a) mean particle diameter in cross sectional direction (D) is 0.3-0.35 μm. (b) a ratio of mean existing length of the fiber elongation improving agent in longitudinal direction of the filament (L) and prescribed (D) (L/D) is 2-20.
