Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyurethane, to provide a composition, a coating, an article each produced from polyurethane, and to provide a method for producing them.SOLUTION: The polyurethane of the invention includes a reaction product of a component including (a) an isocyanate functional urethane prepolymer including a reaction product of a component including (i) about 1 equivalent of at least one polyisocyanate and (ii) about 0.3 to about 0.4 equivalent of butanediol or a pentanediol; (b) about 0.3 to about 0.7 equivalent of trimethylol propane; and (c) a reaction product of a component including not more than about 0.4 equivalent of butanediol or pentanediol, and the component of the reaction product is substantially free from polyester polyol and polyether polyol. The composition, the coating and the article produced from the same and the method for producing them are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
