Abstract:
Provided are: a polyvinyl alcohol film roll which is wound around a spool and in which wrinkles or eccentricity does not occur even when the length and width of the polyvinyl alcohol film are increased; and a production method for the polyvinyl alcohol film roll. In this polyvinyl alcohol film roll, a polyvinyl alcohol film 2 having a width of 3.5 m or more, a thickness of 60 μm or less, and a length of 5000 m or more is wound around a spool 1 having an axial length of 3.5 m or more, and variations in winding hardness in the width direction of the polyvinyl alcohol film 2 are 15 or less in terms of durometer hardness. In addition, in this production method for the polyvinyl alcohol film roll, the polyvinyl alcohol film 2 is wound around the spool 1 with the polyvinyl alcohol film 2 in contact with at least a first control roller 11 or a second control roller 12, whereby the angle α of entry of the polyvinyl alcohol film 2 to be wound is maintained in the range of 2-35°.
