To provide a polyvinylpyrrolidone powder composition with a low content of insoluble matters and/or a high thermal stability.
The polyvinylpyrrolidone powder composition contains polyvinylpyrrolidone having a K value of 50 or higher and 120 or lower. The first patent claim explains that when a 2 wt.% aqueous solution of the composition is filtered with a membrane filter having a pore size of 1.2 m, the content of insoluble substances remaining on the filter is 70 ppm or lower. The second patent claim explains that when the composition is heated at 80C in air for 14 days, the lowering ratio of observed K value is 12% or lower. The third patent claim explains that when a 2 wt.% aqueous solution of the composition is filtered with a membrane filter having a pore size of 1.2 m, the content of insoluble substances remaining on the filter is 70 ppm or lower and when the composition is heated at 80C in air for 14 days, the lowering ratio of observed K value is 12% or lower.
