To provide an adhesion preventive material for the tendon which is capable of physically isolating the tendon and the peripheral tissue thereof while having suitable bio-absorbability and has excellent operability, permeability of nutrient materials and safety by using a porous film consisting of a copolymer of lactic acid and caprolactone as the adhesion preventing material to be used to prevent the adhesion of the tendon when treating the damage of the tendon.
A 6% dioxane solution of the copolymer of the L-lactic acid and the -caprolactone (MW 400,000, the weight ratio in the copolymer of the lactic acid and the caprolactone: the lactic acid/the caprolactone = 55/45) is cast onto a glass plate and this glass plate is fed into a refrigerator kept at -135°C where the solution is frozen. The solvent is thereafter removed in a freeze drier, by which the porous adhesion preventive material of a pore diameter of about 10 μm (a nearly uniform pore diameter and an average pore diameter 10 μm), void volume 88% and thickness 400 μm is obtained.
