Abstract:
To provide a porous body capable of sufficiently removing a liquid component from an ink image and suppressing an image deletion even when used repeatedly.SOLUTION: There is provided a porous body for absorbing a liquid component included in an ink image on an ejection target medium. The porous body includes fibers having pore structures inside. The porous structure satisfies the requirements of (a) and (b) below, and a void ratio in the fibers indicating a volume ratio of the void formed between the fibers is 40-80%. The requirements are (a) average pore diameter/average fiber diameter is 0.2 or less, and (b) void radio in the fibers is 5-40%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
