Abstract:

To provide a porous photocatalyst body for purifying water which is excellent in adsorbing/removing performance of phosphorus components.

The porous photocatalyst body of this invention has an inorganic porous body and a photocatalyst deposited on a surface and in minute pores of the porous body. More than 50 vol.% of pore parts of the inorganic porous body are constituted of fine pores of ≥20 μm pore diameter in a state where the photocatalyst is not deposited. In a state where the photocatalyst is deposited, average pore diameter of the porous photocatalyst body is ≥5 μm and porosity is ≥10%. As the photocatalyst to be deposited, at least one kind of inorganic compound having phosphorus adsorptivity is used.
