Abstract:

To provide a porous polymer particle having excellent touch feeling and high oil absorption; to provide a method for producing the porous polymer particle, a gel-shaped composition and a cosmetic containing the particle.

The porous polymer particle is obtained by allowing (A) 60-100 mass% monomer in the whole monomers to have <8.8 solubility parameter, and (B) 0.02-15 pts. by mass of a crosslinking agent based on 100 pts. by mass of the whole monomers to be present in a W/O/W type emulsion, and polymerizing the monomers. The method for producing the porous polymer particle, the gel-shaped composition containing an oily component and the porous polymer particle, and the cosmetic containing the porous polymer particle are also provided.
