To provide a portable audio system capable of independently accessing a portable telephone set and a portable audio player.
The portable audio system is comprised of a portable telephone set 120, a portable audio player 130 and a headphone 140 having an operating means, includes: a headphone interface means and a portable audio interface means; an audio signal output interface means and a mobile phone interface means; and a headphone interface means and an audio signal input/output interface means, and is capable of independently accessing the portable telephone set and the portable audio player. A sufficient music playback environment and remarkable improvement in operability can be attained without reducing detection of call arrival at a mobile phone.
