To provide a light-weight and compact portable charger which is carried around, without restrictions in time and locations.
The charger includes a housing 1 with a handhold size as portable one. A secondary battery 60 and an internal circuit portion 50 are arranged in the housing 1. The internal circuit portion 50 is constituted, including a charging circuit portion 71 which charges the secondary battery 60 by supply power, a protective circuit portion 70 which protects the secondary battery 60 from the supply power, a dc/dc converting circuit portion 80 which boosts a voltage of the secondary battery 60, and an output circuit portion 90 which converts the boosted voltage to a constant voltage/a constant current. A first connecting portion is provided at the housing 1, to which an input cable 18 is connected and which is electrically connected to the internal circuit portion 50. A second connecting portion is provided at the housing 1, to which an output cable 14 is connected, and which is electrically connected to the internal circuit portion 50. A display portion 19 of a charging state is formed outside the housing 1.
