Title:
AUTOMATIC ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE MEASURING SYSTEM FOR REVERBERANT CHAMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3171960
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure sound transmission loss, sound absorption coefficient, and floor impulsive sound isolation performance of architectural material using an octave band real time analyzer and a personal computor.
CONSTITUTION: Two reverberant chambers A1, A2 are arranged adjacently to each other through a sample architectural wall member where one reverberant chamber A1 is arranged with a speaker 9a and a microphone 3a as a sound source chamber whereas the other reverberant chamber A2 is arranged with a microphone 3b as a sound receiving chamber. Sound pressure levels in the sound source chamber and the sound receiving chamber are measured and analyzed through an octave band real time analyzer 1 to determine a sound transmission loss which is displayed on a screen or printed out through a personal computor 2.
