PURPOSE: To prevent compressed air from leaving by allowing paired sealing surface and seating surface to abut to each other when a control shaft is in a closing position, and separating the sealing surface from the seating surface in an axial direction when the control shaft is displaced from the closing position in the axial direction.
CONSTITUTION: In this portable paint gun equipped with an air valve, by drawing a trigger 20, the position of the air valve 60 of a control shaft 58 comes to a close position. Thereby, when the control shaft 58 is in the closing position, a sealing surface 118 matches with a seating surface 120. Therefore, paired sealing and seating surfaces 118, 120 abut to each other, when the control shaft 58 is in the closing position, and the sealing and seating surfaces 118, 120 separate from each other in an axial direction when the control shaft 58 leaves and moves from the closing position in the axial direction. Air seal is maintained at any position where the control shaft moves.
