Abstract:
To provide a portable radio communication equipment, especially, a portable telephone small in design and capable of reducing the exposure of electromagnetic radiation on the body of a user.
The equipment such as the portable telephone 10 is provided with an antenna 40 and housing 12 and 16 including a transmitter 110, a receiver 76 and a display means 50. At least a part of the housings is formed of an electromagnetic shielding material and the antenna 40 is arranged to be shielded in the rear side or inside of the housings when it is used. It is favorable that the housings are formed of aluminum, magnesium, titanium or their alloy.
