PURPOSE: To reduce the labor and time needed for operations of communication by using a means which performs the call to the opposite party of communication and the facsimile communication with optional switching in a state where a portable telephone device is connected to a facsimile.

CONSTITUTION: A network control part 202 is ready to operate even in a period when a facsimile 1 is performing the communication with a single opposite party of communication via a portable telephone system 1. Thus the talking is optionally carried out with other opposite parties of communication through a telephone set 203 even in a facsimile communication mode. In such a way, it is possible to talk with the destination of communication by calling through the device 1 with connection kept between the system 1 and the facsimile equipment and also to perform the facsimile communication during the call. Furthermore a ringer tone is produced with incoming of a call even in a busy mode. Thus an operator can omit such troublesome jobs that secure the connection or disconnection between the system 1 and the facsimile equipment and can reduce the trouble and time needed for operations of communication.
