Abstract:
To provide a portable terminal which can be made thin and can reduce the cost and power consumption while exhibiting excellent operability and illumination effect and can utilize the characteristics at an image display section sufficiently.
The portable telephone 20 has an image display section 7, and a key operation section 8 which displays an image according to a function and/or an input key 4a according to a function and can perform input operation by the input key 4a, wherein the key operation section 8 has a variable film 2 for transmitting or diffusing the light from a light source 3.
