PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet that eliminates the need for an installation space and is sanitary.SOLUTION: A portable toilet 1 is the portable toilet that receives a human or animal waste. The portable toilet includes a receiving storage container 10 for receiving waste, and a folded part 20 with one end connected to the upper end of the receiving storage container 10 and formed of a cylindrical material having flexibility. The upper end of the receiving storage container 10 is formed in a curve along the shape of a body in the vicinity of an excretion opening of the human or animal. When receiving the waste, the other end side of the folded part 20 is moved to the bottom side of the receiving storage container 10, the excretion opening of the human or animal is covered by the receiving storage container 10, and the upper end of the receiving storage container 10 is brought into close contact with the body in the vicinity of the excretion opening of the human or animal.
