Title:
PORTABLE TYPE DEVICE THAT PERFORMS ELECTROPATHY AUTOMATICALLY BY SENSING HEART FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3393092
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient wearing type fitting belt or vest for protecting the life of a patient in danger from the fatal result due to the cardiac dysrhythmia.
SOLUTION: A fitting belt 14 or a vest incorporates a sensing electrode 22 for monitoring the condition of the heart, a microprocessor with a memory for processing a signal received from the sensing electrode and comparing the signal with the patient's data, and a skin contact pulse electrode 32 for applying an electric pulse to the chest wall of the patient in response to the signal received from the microprocessor. The electrode includes an automatic fastening mechanism for reducing the impedance of the electrode-skin interface and an electrolyte gel release mechanism. A sub-system for maintenance is provided for the fitting belt 14 or the vest to interface with the fitting belt or the vest, or to communicate with a health care person resident in a remote place through a suitable telephone link.
