To provide a portable workbench which prevents or reduces damages to a handhold rod and a workbench body when the workbench is overturned.
In this portable workbench, leg bodies 2 and 2 are provided at both front and rear ends of a top plate 1, and composed of a pair of right and left leg posts 2a and 2a and a tread 2b horizontally laid between both the leg posts 2a and 2a, respectively; and the handhold rod 5 is pivoted on the upper end of the leg post 2a via a handhold rod mounting bracket 6 in such a manner as to make its attitude changeable between the rising attitude of protruding above the top plate 1 and the folded attitude of being folded along the leg post 2a. A cushion member 17 for absorbing an impact received by the workbench body T and the handhold rod 5 on overturning of the workbench is protrusively provided on the outside surface of the handhold rod mounting bracket 6.
