Title:
PORTAL FORK TYPE CONVEYING WHEELER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0489798
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To convey even a lengthy load to a specified place without a forklift truck by providing a frame body to which telescopic wheel legs are fixed in the four corners, a fork sliding on a guide shaft mounted on the frame body and a screw shaft for moving the fork.

CONSTITUTION: When a load is conveyed, a conveying wheeler is positioned above the load and its wheel legs 1, 2, 3, 4 are contracted by releasing oil pressure until fork top ends come into contact with a floor surface. After contact of the fork top ends with the floor surface, a screw shaft 12 is turned by driving a motor 18 to horizontally move the fork 13 and the fork top ends are inserted into the bottom of a pallet 20. After insertion of the fork top ends, the load is lifted up from the floor surface by extending the wheel legs 1, 2, 3, 4 by the oil pressure. After lifting up the load up to a level not to bump against an obstacle on the floor, the conveying wheeler is moved forward by the front wheels 5, 6 driven by a motor 19. A right-turn, left-turn and U-turn are operated by driving one of the front wheels 5, 6 and stopping the other.
