Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a high-precision position acquisition system. A position acquisition system (1) for acquiring the position of a vehicle comprises: a proximity sensing unit (101) which senses proximity to an intersection, which is a specific site upon a travel route, when a signal is received from a radio beacon positioned at the intersection; and a marker sensing unit (122) which senses a magnetic marker positioned on the road surface on which the vehicle is travelling. The position of the vehicle is acquired when the magnetic marker is sensed while proximity to the intersection or other specific site is sensed from reception of the beacon radio signal.
