PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the position of a mobile terminal with high precision even when the mobile terminal exists in the vicinity of a base station.
SOLUTION: In the position calculation method of the mobile terminal for calculating a position of the the mobile terminal by using difference of propagation distance of a radio signal to be transmitted/received between the base station and the mobile terminal, it includes measurement processing of difference of the propagation distance for calculating the difference of the propagation distance of a signal between a plurality of base stations and the mobile terminal, base station vicinity judgment processing for judging whether or not the mobile terminal exists in the vicinity of any of the plurality of base stations, normal position calculation processing for calculating the position of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal is judged not to exist in the vicinity of any of the base stations, a base station vicinity position calculation processing for calculating the position of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal is judged to exist in the vicinity of a specific base station among the base stations and terminal position output processing for outputting the position of the mobile terminal calculated by the base station vicinity position calculation processing or the normal position calculation processing.
