To provide a position controller for an actuator which can properly maintain feedback control when detection data on the current operation position of the actuator has an abnormal value.
The position controller which detects the current operation position of a DC motor 20 for driving EGR bulb by a position sensor 40 and performs feedback control over the DC motor 20 according to the deviation of the detection data of the position sensor 40 from input data corresponding to a target operation position of the DC motor 20 is equipped with a normative current value arithmetic means 68 which calculates the normative current operation position of the DC motor 20 according to the input data and outputs it as prediction data and a current value selecting means 67 which selects the prediction data as data for feedback control instead of the detection data when the detection data has an abnormal value.
