Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control the position of a mobile body with a precision lower than the resolution of a position sensor by obtaining the time each time when a position detector detects a certain number of pulses and generating a target value corresponding to this time and generating a feedback signal and feeding back it to a controlled system. CONSTITUTION:A position sensor 12 outputs a pulse signal each time when the mobile body is moved for a certain extent, and a counter 14 counts pulses which the position sensor 12 outputs. In this case, the time is obtained each time when the position sensor 12 counts a prescribed number of pulses, and a target position or a target displacement as the target value corresponding to this time is obtained. The detection value of the position sensor 12 and the target value are used to generate the feedback signal, and this signal is fed back to the controlled system to control the position of the mobile body. This control is equivalent to detection of the position of the mobile body with an infinite resolution at the time of generation of the feedback signal, and the position of the mobile body is controlled with a precision lower than the resolution of the sensor.
