Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the detection of the position of irregularities formed on the surface of a cylinder member by removing a wavy component with a longer wavelength associated with the rotation of the cylinder member from a measuring signal to detect a peak value.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotating shaft 14 is rotated with a motor, a cylinder member 13 is turned to output a signal (first measuring signal with a waveform corresponding to the shape of the section of a cylinder member 13) indicating the displacement of a probe 12A of a measuring section 12 is outputted to a processor 20. With the processor, the first measuring signal is subjected to a BPF to extract a second measuring signal after the removal of a wavy component with a longer wavelength associated with the rotation of the cylinder member 13 attributed to deviation or the like between the center axis of the cylinder member 13 and the center of the rotation of the rotating shaft 14. Then, the cylinder member 13 is turned at least once to detect and store a peak value from the second measuring signal to be obtained during the period of the rotation thereof. Then, the second measuring signal obtained during the rotation of the cylinder member 13 is compared with the peak value stored to detect the positions of irregularities 13A from the position of rotation when both coincide.
