Title:
POSITION DETECTION ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01189501
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the position and moving direction of a permanent magnet, by monitoring the respective resistance values of a plurality of formed superconductive membranes. CONSTITUTION:Superconductive resistor elements 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d are formed on a substrate from superconductive materials changing in a resistance value by the application of magnetic flux and constituted so as to form an electrically closed loop of element 1a lead-out electrode 3a element 1b lead-out electrode 3b element 1c lead-out electrode 3c element 1d lead-out electrode 3d. Herein, a permanent magnet 4 is placed at the position equal in a distance from the elements 1a-1d and the resistance values of the elements are preliminarily measured using the electrodes 3a-3d. Next, when it is assumed that the resistance values of the elements 1b, 1a become high and the those of the elements 1c, 1d become low by the movement of the magnet 4, the position and moving direction of the magnet 4 can be detected by measuring the resistance values of the elements.
