Title:
POSITION-SENSITIVE TOY AND METHOD OF PLAYING WITH THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3790118
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy for giving a response in motion sensitive to a position to a user of the toy and a method of playing with the toy.
SOLUTION: A small stuffed animal 16 is wound around a wrist of a user 14. When the user wants to start the motion of the toy, the user puts the mouth of the animal close to the user's ear. The user's action is detected by a sensor, and one of many entertaining audio messages stored in the toy is triggered, so that the user feels as if the toy were actually whispering in the user's ear. In addition, the toy has a sensor capable of detecting the presence of a position transmitter near the toy. By the sensor, the toy can appropriately select an audio message matching the current position of the toy. Further, rather than waiting for the user to find out a position drive message randomly, the toy will let the user know that an interesting message is waiting.
