To provide a position sensor that can enhance the linearity of impedance variations of a detection coil with respect to displacement of an object.
A position sensor comprises: detection coils Co arranged opposite to detection bodies 30a and 30b which move, interlocked with displacement of the object, on a circular track and formed on the surfaces of respective dielectric substrates 1 and 2 by printing; and a detecting section that detects any displacement of the object on the basis of inductance (impedance) of the detection coils Co varying in response to the displacement of the detection bodies 30a and 30b. The respective detection coils of the respective dielectric substrates 1 and 2 are configured of a plurality of first turns a0 and b0 so wound as to surround gaps g of a prescribed length in the displacement direction of the detection bodies 30a and 30b and two pairs of second turns a1 and a2, and b1 and b2 so wound folded back as to cross the gaps g.
