Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure both the in-joint length of a main line that matches the inclination angle of a pipe joint and the in-joint length from the pipe joint to a target point.
SOLUTION: A reference part 1 adjusted to the same inclination angle of the pipe joint C is mounted in an appropriate position on the main line P1 and a visible light ray R is emitted from the light emitting means 3 of an angle adjusting part 2 to the target point T. For the visible light ray R to strike the target point T, the reference part 1 and the angle adjusting part 2 are moved for adjustments along the axis of the main line P1 to thereby determine the accurate position of the pipe joint C relative to the main line P1.
